NEWSFEED WEDNESDAY: Three Critical Reasons for Democrats’ Impeachment Frenzy

All the way back in May, long before the word “whistleblower” became the new “Russia,” Trump told the media, and by extension all of us, that he would have Attorney General Bill Barr look into the birth of the Russia Collusion Hoax by working with three foreign countries: Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and — wait for it, wait for it — Australia.

Why would the Democrats go after President Trump for allegedly threatening to withhold U.S. aid to Ukraine when their proposed 2020 standard-bearer did EXACTLY THE SAME THING — and is on tape admitting it?

Though Democrats dropped the I-word from their rhetoric near the end of the campaign, Democratic voters’ support for impeaching Trump motivated voter turnout in the 2018 midterms and led to Democratic gains. A June 2018 NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll found that 70% of Democratic voters wanted Democrats to retake the House of Representatives so they could hold impeachment hearings.

QUICK TAKE

Nothing is ever as it seems. Unless you’re a Democrat. Democrats have been beating the impeachment drum before Trump took the oath of office. That’s no exaggeration. We credit their incessant call to dump Trump to power lust and conceit. Both are true.

But the contours of the impeachment push over the Ukrainian conversation hoax are coming into sharper relief. The main ingredients for Pelosi’s charge up Impeachment Hill are desperation, Machiavellian intrigue, and stark fear of electoral collapse in 2020.

Let’s take a minute to unpack this baby.

AG Barr’s deepening investigation into the roots of the Russia Collusion hoax and the coming Inspector General’s report.

Why do you think that Democrats are screaming about the impropriety of Bill Barr’s investigation extending overseas… to Australia, Great Britain, and – well, well – the Ukraine? All have connections to the Russia collusion hoax.

From Dave Boyer’s article (linked above) in the Washington Times:

Mr. Barr also has been forthright for months about his desire to probe how and why the FBI during the Obama administration obtained permission from a secret court to monitor Trump campaign officials in 2016.

Rolling out impeachment now is an attempt to stymie Barr’s investigation. Obama Administration Democrats, DOJ appointees, FBI, and CIA players (Deep Staters), and Hillary are at risk. The potential for indictments loom. It’s time to cutoff Trump and Barr at the pass.

The Squad and its leftist allies want to deep-six Joe Biden.

At first, this scribe was convinced that Democrats were kicking up dust about the Zelensky conversation to protect Joe Biden. After all, Biden did brag – in videotaped remarks – that he strong-armed the Ukrainians into axing a prosecutor investigating, in part, Hunter Biden’s dealings in their country. Joe Biden has been the Democrats putative frontrunner and is favored by the Democrats’ DC establishment.

But not so among younger leftist cohorts in the party. The (Goon) Squad is comprised of Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Rashida Tlaib, Ilhan Omar, and Ayanna Pressley. (Honorary members: Che Guevara and Yasser Arafat.) They’ve made no secret that Biden is in the way. It’s time for the old blood to go.

Impeachment serves more than one purpose. A benefit of impeaching Trump means that the president and the GOP will counter – vigorously. Digging up all the dirt about the Bidens sordid affairs in the Ukraine (let’s add China, too) would deal a fatal blow to Joe’s presidential bid.

Why would Speaker Nancy Pelosi go along with this gambit? Because the left dominates the House Democratic caucus. They want impeachment and they want Biden gone. If Pelosi doesn’t play ball, she can kiss her speakership goodbye. If sticking by Biden means Pelosi’s skin, Joe’s a goner. If you want a friend in politics, buy a dog.

Democrats have fund-raised and rabble-roused their base about impeachment for so long they have to deliver something… or else.

Rasmussen’s Ted Rall called it back in April. No candidate or party wins elections without consolidating and mobilizing its base. The party’s base is increasingly radically leftist. If the big driver in getting base voters to the polls during last year’s mid-terms was handing Democrats a majority for the express purpose of impeaching Trump, well, by golly, impeachment it’ll be. Whoever said Democrats don’t deliver on their promises?

Clearly, Democrats must deliver. They can’t afford to disaffect base voters. Base voters staying home or casting protest ballots for the Karl Marx Revivalist Party means electoral collapse in 2020. That’s tantamount to Armageddon for a host of Democrat officeholders and high-paid consultants. No one’s going to take their pay, perks, and privileges away without a fight!

There you have it. We may be peeling back more layers in the days ahead. But this is a start.

The Democrats are in a world of hurt. Expect the desperate tactics to multiple and the beast to lash out all the more.
