“They’re creepy and they’re kooky,
Mysterious and spooky,
They’re altogether ooky,
The Addams [Progressive] Family”

— Lyrics on Demand

At a constituent town hall event hosted by Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY), a woman said we must start eating babies due to the climate crisis. The woman cited a Swedish professor who said we can eat dead baby, however even then it won’t happen “fast enough” because “we only have a few months left.” The woman wore a shirt with the printed slogan: “Save The Planet. Eat The Children.”

QUICK TAKE

The jury is still out. The woman with the sorta Swedish accent. The one at Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez’s town hall who called for eating babies to combat “climate change.” Is she a 1) headcase; 2) Donner Party groupie; 3) progressive going where no progressive has gone before; or 4) a shill?

I’ll wager she was a shill, a clever plant. And job well done. Note that the audience sat in dead silence as the woman showed off her tee-shirt calling for baby eating. No one seemed revolted. AOC stood at the podium equally silent throughout the woman’s monologue.

AOC had a deer-in-the-headlights look. She must have felt cross-pressured. Ocasio-Cortez has never met an abortion she didn’t like. And, well, if we don’t take drastic measures, the planet will end in 12 years. (Beto swears its 10 years, so there’s a religious dispute between the two currently.) But isn’t AOC a vegan? If Ocasio-Cortez isn’t going to eat cow, maybe eating human flesh to save the planet isn’t her thing.

The woman’s rant wasn’t pulled from thin air. There’s a Swedish scientist who’s proposing eating human flesh after people die. Yes, as a means of combating climate change. No joke.

From Watts Up With That?, September 6, 2019:

Swedish behavioural scientist Magnus Söderlund has suggested that eating other people after they die could be a means of combatting climate change.

The scientist mentioned the possibility of cannibalism during a broadcast on Swedish television channel TV4 this week about a fair in Stockholm regarding “food of the future”.

Chris Tomlinson, the article author, pulls a Tweet from world-renown atheist Richard Dawkins. This from Dawkins via Tomlinson:

Tissue culture “clean meat” already in 2018? I’ve long been looking forward to this. https://ind.pn/2F9xAwS

What if human meat is grown? Could we overcome our taboo against cannibalism? An interesting test case for consequentialist morality versus “yuck reaction” absolutism.

Wrote Tomlinson in his summary:

I think on some level we all suspected it was only a matter of time before a climate fanatic seriously suggested such perversion.

I can understand someone in extreme circumstances making an impossible choice, like the survivors of Flight 571 which crashed on an ice field in the Andes. But to suggest that cannibalism is something the world should seriously consider, as just another conservation measure; how has the world come to this? [Italics added]

How has the world come to this? I can furnish one of the answers. I’ll sum it up like this: Nietzsche declared God dead. Marx declared man, God. The rest has been downhill ever since.

Progressives are increasingly a godless bunch. As their religious faith dwindles, their conceit in their own power grows. In the process, respect for human life diminishes. Unbounded abortion – any abortion at all – is the rage among progressives. It’s infanticide that Pete Buttigieg advocates. Euthanasia is popular among more and more progressives. And now the ghoulish – dare we say, Satanic – consideration of eating human flesh.

Without God, there’s finally nothing. But before nothing, there’s evil and depravity.
