Mark Zaid, one of the attorneys representing the intelligence community whistleblower at the center of the Democrats’ ongoing impeachment inquiry, tweeted conspicuously in January 2017 that a “coup has started” and that “impeachment will follow ultimately.”

Then, in July 2017, Zaid remarked, “I predict @CNN will play a key role in @realDonaldTrump not finishing out his full term as president.” Also that month, Zaid tweeted, “We will get rid of him, and this country is strong enough to survive even him and his supporters.”

THE TAKE

How brazen the conspirators against Donald Trump. Among the establishment, Democratic Party, and mainstream media, that is. Mark Zaid, who’s part of the whistleblower’s legal team, is fully revealing. Destroying Donald Trump has been the game plan since Trump was elected. January 2017 was when the evil began.

The Russian collusion fraud failed miserably. But not to be deterred, the conspirators seized upon a call Trump had with Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky. President Trump released the full transcript of the conversation. The call was aboveboard. It clears Trump entirely.

But the Democrats and their fellow conspirators have no other arrow in their quiver. So, they pervert facts and truth to excuse impeachment. Adam Schiff concocted dialogue between Trump and Zelensky to frame Trump. Democrats and the MSM since have interpreted and insinuated meaning into the conversation that’s not real. It’s all fabrication to justify their coup effort.

Pelosi and company pursue a Trump impeachment for many reasons. One is that Trump is an existential threat to their domination of U.S. politics and culture. Democrats believed they gained control of the nation indefinitely with Obama’s ascendancy. They’re conceit prevents them from dealing ethically with their false assumption.

In fact, Trump is an existential threat to the left. He’s changing the nation’s trajectory – resetting its course more decidedly toward the nation’s founding principles and authentic liberty. Doing so moves more power into the hands of citizens and away from DC lifers and establishment denizens.

A second is that Democrats lust for power. Lust is one of the Seven Deadly Sins. The Democrats greatly suffer lust and are enslaved to it.

Some Democrats, the establishmentarians, are cynically about power in the service of their narrow interests. Others are leftists whose ideology is a religion substitute. They’re zealots. Combined, they’re formidable enemies of Americans’ basic rights and freedom.

A third touches directly on ethics and, well, venality. The “Get Trump” conspiracy exposes how egregiously unethical and outright evil Democrats have become. They would destroy an innocent man – and by extension, anyone – who gets in their way.

We’re not talking about your Aunt Emma, who’s a retired school teacher and lifelong Democrat in New Rochelle. She’s not evil. She’s a dupe. We’re talking about the party’s leaders and activists… men and women who have no regard for facts, truth, and justice.

The left have always been about the ends justifying the means. Today’s Democrats fully embrace the shear immorality of that maxim.

The conspiracy against the president is doing great harm to our nation’s institutions, particularly federal law enforcement, intelligence, and justice. The Deep State – comprised of elements in the FBI, CIA, NSA, and DOJ – are conspiring with Democrats to stage an unprecedented coup against a duly elected president.

That deeply undercuts trust in the democratic process. This conspiracy will have repercussions for years to come. It could permanently alienate tens of millions of Americans who can’t tolerate factions who, not gaining power legitimately, resort to politicizing and abusing the law to prevail.

The ugly precedent that Democrats, the establishment, and the MSM are setting practically guarantees an open-ended widening of divisions and intensification of conflict. America may have not seen its ugliest days.

In earlier times, when higher standards of conduct where more broadly shared, the conspiracy against Donald Trump would be crushed swiftly. Americans of different stripes in those days would see the threat such a conspiracy undertaken at the highest levels of government pose to the very existence of the republic. They would surely see that weaponizing the law against some Americans today could be turned on them tomorrow.

But we live in morally degraded times. The left began the process of ripping apart the society in the 1960s. Leftists despise America for its successes and exceptionalism. That’s been consistent throughout the decades. They loathe and seek to destroy Americans shared traditional values and morals. They’ve enjoyed considerable success. Enough that millions of Americans fail to see the peril the republic and the society that underpins face now and the years ahead.
