THE TAKE
Average folk are being tremendously misled by the mainstream media. Intentionally. Fox News is playing follow-the-leader. Even some conservative talking heads are buying into the MSM’s language ploy.
What’s new when it comes to the MSM, you say? But for millions of Americans who topline the news, the MSM is creating false perceptions that can lead to fatal consequences for the nation.
Clear language that hews to facts and realities is the enemy of deception. Deception – lies – is what Democrats and the MSM are selling now. Fox and go-along conservatives need to use different language to drive a true narrative of these unfolding, disturbing events.
CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post, and the New York Times (add to the list) are incessantly telling viewers and readers that Minneapolis, Seattle, Portland, Chicago, Atlanta, DC, et al, are beset by protests. But they’re riots – the difference matters. Most of the rioters – alias, protesters – aren’t “anarchists.” Anarchists, in modern usage, are folks who want to tear down without purpose. Plenty of people in the streets aren’t there for the thrill of destroying. They aren’t adrenaline junkies.
Hardcore leftists are being mislabeled as anarchists. Most identify with, or are part of, ANTIFA and Black Lives Matter. Some aren’t throwing bricks themselves. Or ransacking. Or abusing cops. Or beating the stuffing out of an unlucky passerby.
They’re agitating or directing the violence. These leftist field officers are working a plan: To disrupt and destroy with the aim of so weakening the cities under siege that vacuums are created. The left’s goal is to fill those vacuums. Cities under leftist control are then power centers and bases of operation against the rest of America.
That sounds like fantasy to you?
If you don’t think leftists aim to take their revolution to your communities, you’re sadly mistaken. And you’re setting yourself up to be tragically surprised – when leftist violence and mayhem invades your community.
Know thy enemy – and the left are the enemy.

Antifa’s goals and tactics are unquestionably antithetical to American values and a direct threat to our system of government built on free speech, individual liberty and a representative government that reflects the will of the people while protecting minorities. Antifa wants to destroy our democratic republic and establish an authoritarian regime where dissent is crushed and beaten into submission.
ANTIFA in America was incubated on college campuses, which have long been strongholds for the radical left.
This from Dennis Prager for National Review, March 12, 2019:
It is jolting [for non-leftist parents] because their beloved child now holds America in contempt; prefers socialism to capitalism; regards all white people and police as racist; believes the Bible, Christianity, and Judaism are not only nonsense, but dangerous nonsense; no longer believes that men and women are inherently different — or even that male and female objectively exist; is uninterested in getting married and having children; believes the president of the United States is a fascist, as are all those who voted for him; and supports the suppression of speech that he or she regards as “hate speech.”
But you need to add Black Lives Matters (BLM) to this toxic brew. That’s BLM, which corporate America is lavishing with hundreds of millions of dollars in support. The list of sellout high-profile companies that sensible, non-leftist consumers frequent for goods and services is sickening to read: Walmart, Nike, Adidas, Proctor and Gamble, to name some… eesch.
How will the radical left, which controls BLM, spend its newfound fabulous wealth? To send inner city kids to summer camps? Plant trees to green urban-scapes? Feed the hungry?
Lenin famously said that capitalists would sell his Bolsheviks the rope that they would use to hang those very capitalists – and just about anyone else who opposed the Red revolution.

The moment we are living through isn’t a “revolution” of the powerless, against the powerful. It’s an ideological offensive by the far left, against history, culture, and institutions they oppose. And this offensive is being bankrolled by corporate America, which is either sympathetic, or too frightened to resist.
Mike Gonzalez and Andrew Olivastro at the Heritage Foundation offer this insight into Black Lives Matters, July 3, 2020:
Visit the Black Lives Matter website, and the first frame you get is a large crowd with fists raised and the slogan “Now We Transform.” Read the list of demands, and you get a sense of how deep a transformation they seek.
One proclaims: “We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear-family-structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and ‘villages’ that collectively care for one another.”
So, why would Democrats permit their cities to fall to radical leftists? At least, until November?
One insight is that Democrats see the disruptions and destruction as a means of persuading voters that Trump’s presidency is the catalyst for these uprisings. He’s also impotent to stop the violence. Order can only be restored with Democrats fully in charge of the nation. It sounds foolish, but that seems to be, in part, the Democrats perverse reasoning.
Another key observation is that weaker “progressivism” is yielding to harder leftism. In nature and human affairs, the weak always succumb to the stronger.
Portland mayor, Ted Wheeler, and Oregon governor, Kate Brown, exemplify progressives whose knees have buckled in the face of the left’s onslaught. Washington State governor, Jay Inslee, and Seattle mayor, Jenny Durkan, are other prime examples.
And let’s not forget soy-boy Mayor Jacob Frey in Minneapolis, and Minnesota governor, Tim Walz, who begged the feds for $500 million to fix all the damage in Minneapolis that he and Frey permitted.
Democrats and the left never let crises go to waste — or so Rahm Emanuel once claimed. The George Floyd killing was an opportunity to exploit an outpouring of anger over police mistreatment of Floyd. Since Minneapolis, the cover of outrage over a supposed racial injustice has been jettisoned. The real purpose – leftist insurrection – is on plain view in cities across the nation.
Peaceful protesters with legitimate grievances don’t loot and destroy. Thrill-seeking “anarchists” there may be in urban streets. Opportunistic criminals are there, too.
But no longer hiding behind curtains are deadly serious leftists, who aim to take down America… who won’t quit with Trump’s reelection in November – if he’s reelected. And who would greatly benefit from a Biden presidency and Democrat Congress, both of whom would serve as shields as BLM and their leftist comrades spend corporate America’s loot to further subvert the nation.
Your eyes aren’t lying, but the language used to describe these dangerous ongoing events is. What would Orwell have us do?
