Will Democrats’ Ballot Chicanery Torpedo Glenn Youngkin?

If the polls are accurate, Republican Glenn Youngkin and Democrat Terry McAuliffe are in a dead heat for Virginia’s governorship. The election is officially on November 2, but with mail-in balloting and early onsite voting, the Commonwealth’s elections are well underway.

Here’s the big question: How honest will the governor’s contest be? Does Youngkin have a fair shot of being elected or will Democrats “tweak” the results?

Virginia is run by Democrats. There’s only one reason for that: Northern Virginia, which is a bedroom community of Washington, D.C. Without “NOVA,” Virginia would be reliably red. NOVA is chockful of federal bureaucrats, government contractors, and all sorts of businesses and services that make money off a big government clientele.

In fact, NOVA includes three of the most affluent counties in the nation: Fairfax, Loudoun, and Arlington. The people in these counties are also predictably, reliably Democrats.

So, statewide elections are settled in populous Northern Virginia. And in Democrat-run Fairfax County, there are now questions about how honest the counting is.

From Margot Cleveland, The Federalist, October 25:

A lawsuit filed last Wednesday in the Circuit Court of Fairfax County, Virginia against the county registrar and three members of the Fairfax County Electoral Board exposed election officials’ ongoing disregard for state election law. In the plaintiffs’ concise 10-page complaint, the Virginia Institute for Public Policy (VIPP), a public-policy organization dedicated to election integrity, alleged the “Defendants are accepting and approving applications for absentee and mail-in ballots that do not include information required by Virginia law, namely, the last four digits of the applicant’s Social Security number.”

Democrats keep pitching mail-in balloting as a means of giving “inconvenienced” voters access to elections that they’d otherwise not vote in should they actually have to show up at polling places. Imagine that? Getting to the polls every two or four years is such a heavy lift. Gee, what an enormous sacrifice for liberty. The solution, claim Democrats, is to blast out ballot applications and then ballots. That’s only fair, they squawk.

As to small concerns like, oh, ballot security and chain-of-custody – trifles! We know that all those ballot applications will be filled out honestly and mail-in ballots will be cast without the slightest worry about their authenticity. And if county-level elections officials have to make calls in favor of tallying ballots with errors and/or omissions, well, we can’t let technicalities nix votes. Oh, and that many, if not most, of those flawed ballots are cast for Democrats – just a coincidence, of course.

Keep your eyes on Virginia. Youngkin has the momentum. Even some Democrat and liberal voters – many of whom are parents disgusted with Critical Race Theory indoctrination and transgenders (males claiming to be females) gaining access to female restrooms and locker rooms – are swinging against McAuliffe, a former Virginia governor and longtime flunky and campaign money bundler for the Clintons.

As Joseph Stalin is reputed to have said, “It is enough that the people know there was an election. The people who cast the votes decide nothing. The people who count the votes decide everything.”

Younkin’s momentum won’t necessarily translate to a victory on Election Night (or in the subsequent days when the counting continues). Watch closely. And let’s hope that Youngkin and the Virginia GOP are ready to aggressively challenge questionable returns in courts.
