Do Democrats Want a New Trail of Tears?

J Robert Smith

The times may change, but it’s reassuring to know that some things don’t, like the Democratic Party. Along with the cosmic sins of slavery and abortion, Democrats are chiefly culpable for a sin less often recognized: American Indian removal and extermination, the latter either being an expedient or last resort, depending on circumstances.

Democrats and their progenitors, who long preceded Republicans – Whigs were the minor party during the Democracy’s pre-Civil War zenith – created the template for the relentless subjugation of our red brethren. The Trail of Tears carries the Democrats’ seal.

The Biden Cabal’s Executive Order Putsch

In Biden’s Washington, there’s no such thing as legislating. Democrats control the U.S. House and, practically, the Senate, but out of the chute, addled Joe Biden’s administration is relying on executive orders to revoke Trump’s accomplishments and dramatically reshape America – or try to. We’re seeing how the modern Democratic Party wants to run America: via fiat.

Rush Passes Away; His Fight for Liberty Continues

The news of Rush Limbaugh’s passing today (February 17) is truly sad. Rush was, in many ways, the inheritor of the Regan legacy. Clearly, his was the most important conservative voice in America for a generation, which is a remarkable feat in itself. Rush’s show reached 25-30 million listeners daily. We owe him a debt of thanks and there’s really only one way to repay him.

We each must dedicate ourselves to carrying on the cause of freedom. Rush has passed the torch to us. In many small ways, we can fight for liberty in our daily lives. Millions of small actions add up to big changes, and, heaven knows, American liberty is imperiled and the nation needs an historic change of direction. Rush fought the good fight right up to the end of his very consequential life. His integrity and courage should inspire us.

May God bless Rush, and may the Good Lord grant us the strength, wisdom, and courage to win this fight for freedom.

Preserving American Liberty – Step Two – Elections

This article was adapted from the original, which first appeared at American Thinker.

Universal mail-in balloting and looser ballot integrity laws are poison to fair, honest elections. Go ask Donald Trump. Trump lost by whiskers in five battleground states last November. A switch of approximately 139, 350 votes (out of 23.8 million cast) across those states would have reelected Trump. Democrats fixed the systems just enough. And, in many instances, with Republican assistance, in the name of easier voting access thanks to COVID restrictions. Thus, turned the nation’s course.

Needed: An Orwell Statue in DC

George Orwell, who’s famous for his classics,1984 and Animal Farm, deserves a statue in DC – a towering bronze or marble statue. Focused on that statute and pouring forth from it, brilliant light. Hear me out. Orwell’s name is associated with the descriptor “Orwellian,” which means things that government – and, today, what Big Tech and a not-small chunk of corporate America – are doing involving a creepy, pervasive reach into the nooks and crannies of our lives – places where government and big businesses don’t belong.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, February 9, the U.S. Senate takes up Act II of the farce playing out on Capitol Hill: the removal trial of former president Donald J. Trump. Never mind that Congress can’t remove a past elected or appointed official from an office he doesn’t occupy. Never no-mind that Article 1, Section 3, of the Constitution is explicit about what impeachment entails. Never no-mind that a trial stands simple common sense on its head. DC is its own little inbred world playing by its own toxic rules.

On Friday, the U.S. Supreme Court ruled the obvious: churches have a 1st Amendment right to conduct indoor services. It was a partial victory for places of worship. Of course, owing to the times, SCOTUS made room for the so-called “administrative state,” which is nothing more than a bureaucratic nanny state or, at its worst, outright tyranny.

Bernie Sanders, the self-avowed “Democratic” socialist, and not really independent from Vermont, has something half right.

From Chris Enloe at The Blaze, January 23, 2020:

“Given all that we face, now is not the time to think small. It is time to think big, very big,” Sanders said on Thursday, according to McClatchy reporter Francesca Chambers.

Kamikaze Mitch

Article 1, Section 3, the United States Constitution

Judgment in Cases of Impeachment shall not extend further than to removal from Office, and disqualification to hold and enjoy any Office of honor, Trust or Profit under the United States[italics added]

Like Joe Biden, is Mitch starting to lose it? The Constitution is plain about impeachment. It’s about removal from office of federal elected or appointed officials for limited categories of offenses. You don’t have to be a constitutional scholar, like Jonathan Turley or Alan Dershowitz, to get it. The Senate can’t remove a former president from the office he doesn’t occupy. But Democrats fear Trump in opposition, so they want to dirty him up. A simple-stupid fact isn’t stopping them. Vindictiveness and a Soviet-style destruction of “enemies of the state” is the rule of the day.

Defeating the Gathering Tyranny

J Robert Smith

A spectre is haunting America – the spectre of tyranny.

So, sue me, Karl. But why would Marx have objected to his most famous line being expropriated? Taking from the literary rich and distributing that wealth to a poor scribbler is a virtue, no? Karl may have been offput by the tweak – substituting tyranny for communism – or not. If you read the Communist Manifesto, Marx wasn’t shy about calling for social destruction across the globe, and then dictatorship among the ruins. Then utopia – yeah, right. The guy was outright demonic.
