As we have observed, the polls continue to suggest Biden is headed for a big with. Some of the battleground states are close and getting closer. Yet overall Biden still looks strong. The Democratic campaign/mainstream media continues to run interference for Biden by ignoring stories that may help Trump and rarely holding Biden accountable for anything. They ask Biden tough questions at two times: seldom and never.
Emails from Hunter Biden were released this week. They prove that Hunter sold access to his Dad to get huge payments from the Ukrainian company, Burisma, who has testified that they considered the payments to be a Biden bribe. Burisma was under investigation at the time Joe threatened Ukraine with withholding a billion dollars in U. S. aid unless they fired the prosecutor. Which they did. Biden bragged about doing this on camera. Not smart. Joe has said previously that he has never discussed his son’s business with him and that he never met with Burisma officials. Those claims have never been credible. And we now have proof they were lies.
For more than two years, President Trump, his supporters, and Americans who are trying to be fair and factual, have known the FBI was at fault in the Russia probe. Not the agency, of course, but high-ranking officials in it. Agencies don’t do anything; people acting on their behalf do. But the respect that most Americans have for the FBI, as we should, do not prohibit us from calling out the corrupt actions of a few of its leaders. People who hide behind the reputation of their employer to avoid accountability are reprehensible.
The burden of proof is on Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-San Francisco) and House Intelligence Committee Chairman Adam B. Schiff (D-Burbank) to do more than secure impeachment, which is all but certain. Their job is to conduct these hearings in a way that moves public opinion to the point that the Senate will convict the president. That means giving Republican senators something that changes their impression of Trump’s conduct of Ukraine foreign policy. What’s alleged may make many members of the GOP uncomfortable, but it doesn’t come remotely close to requiring that the president be removed from office. [bold added]
WASHINGTON — The White House declared war on the House impeachment inquiry on Tuesday, announcing that it would not cooperate with what it called an illegitimate effort “to overturn the results of the 2016 election” and setting the stage for a constitutional clash with far-reaching consequences.

There is a story, often told, that upon exiting the Constitutional Convention Benjamin Franklin was approached by a group of citizens asking what sort of government the delegates had created. His answer was: “A republic, if you can keep it.”
President Trump on Thursday blasted Lawrence O’Donnell and the media at large after the MSNBC host was forced to retract an unverified report he shared on his show this week that tied Trump’s finances to Russia.

Will the obsession with the Trump-Russia hoax ever end? Clearly not for Democrats and the MSM. They spread it like a virus. It continues to morph into disgusting new forms. Continue reading →
China signaled on Monday it was now seeking a “calm” end to its ongoing trade war with the U.S., as Asian markets crumbled and China’s currency plummeted to an 11-year low following the latest tariffs on $550 billion in Chinese goods announced last Friday by the Trump administration.

The trade war with China isn’t over until an agreement is signed. Then it has to be enforced. But if Xi Jinping is serious about cutting a deal with President Trump, then he’ll also cut the legs out from under Democrat presidential aspirants. Not that Xi cares about Democrats’ political fortunes. Not when Trump’s very effective tariffs and his threatened actions are walloping the Chinese in their wallets. Continue reading →
